Terms of Service

MotionLab (AthletixCoach) · athletixcoach.com · Effective October 31, 2026

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and MotionLab (AthletixCoach) covering your use of the website and tools at athletixcoach.com (the Service). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you accept them on behalf of a club, school, or team, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1.What the Service does

MotionLab is an AI-assisted technique analysis tool for track & field. You upload competition or training video and choose an event group (sprints, jumps, or throws), a camera view, and optionally a distance and an analysis focus. MotionLab samples frames from your video, estimates body joint positions, and returns biomechanical metrics, phase breakdowns, key-moment markers, and suggested corrections. You can also ask follow-up questions about an athlete in a video and track goals over time.

The Service is decision support for coaches and athletes. It is not a laboratory measurement system, a medical device, or a substitute for qualified coaching or medical care.

2.Your account

  • You must be old enough to form a contract where you live, and you must be at least 16 to create an account.
  • Give us accurate contact information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your credentials private and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under it.
  • Sign in is available with email and password, Google, or Apple. Tell us promptly at support@athletixcoach.com if you believe someone else has used your account.

3.Rights you must have before uploading

You are responsible for the footage you upload. Before uploading, confirm that:

  • you own the footage, or you have permission from whoever does;
  • identifiable athletes and bystanders have been told the footage will be processed by an AI analysis service, or you hold their consent;
  • for athletes under 18, you are a parent or guardian, you hold written permission from one, or you are acting within a club or school programme that holds parental consent;
  • the footage is lawful and does not infringe anyone's rights or reasonable privacy expectations.

Do not upload footage you are not entitled to use. We may remove footage that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.

4.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • resell, sublicense, or share access to the Service;
  • reverse engineer the Service, scrape its content, or attempt to extract the underlying model, prompts, or dataset;
  • use automated tools to place unreasonable load on the Service or to reach another user's data;
  • upload malicious code, or use the Service to store or distribute unlawful content;
  • rely solely on generated output for competition selection, scholarship, eligibility, medical, or disciplinary decisions without human review.

5.Ownership of your footage and results

You keep ownership of the video you upload and of the reports MotionLab generates from it. You grant MotionLab a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, process, and display that material only as needed to provide the Service to you — including sending sampled frames to our AI provider and showing you your results.

We do not sell your footage or your analysis, and your analyses are not shown to other users. The one exception is a technique reference profile you choose to save: saved profiles are readable by other signed-in users so the shared reference library can work.

6.AI results are estimates

MotionLab's numbers are estimates inferred from ordinary 2D video, not measured ground truth. They depend on factors you can partly control — camera view, distance, frame rate, lighting, motion blur, how much of the athlete is in frame, and whether the right athlete was selected — and on factors you cannot control.

Results may be wrong, incomplete, or inconsistent between runs or camera views. We do not guarantee that any metric is accurate. Treat a figure that would change training, competition, or selection as a reason to look again, not as a verdict.

7.Availability, changes and limits

The Service is provided on an as-available basis. We may change, add, or remove features, adjust limits (for example the current 100 MB per-file upload limit), or interrupt or discontinue the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Service is currently free to use. If paid plans are introduced, they will be described before you can buy them, and the terms shown at purchase will govern those purchases.

8.Deleting your data and closing your account

You can delete an individual analysis and its uploaded video at any time from the app; doing so also removes its saved question-and-answer history. Closing your account removes the data tied to it. Some copies may persist for a period in backups or provider logs, and we may retain information where the law requires it or to investigate misuse.

9.Disclaimers and liability limits

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that results are accurate, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, MotionLab is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and US$100. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

10.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The revised version will be posted at athletixcoach.com/terms with a new effective date, and where we have your email address we will write to you in advance of changes that materially reduce your rights or add material obligations. Using the Service after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.

11.Your local rights

These Terms do not limit rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence that cannot be excluded. If you access the Service from another country, you are responsible for complying with its laws.
